Hello,

I can hear myself speak during phone calls! This is really annoying...

Does anyone know how to fix this?

:( :(

Thank you, readers!

Impossible to help without more info.

What carrier, what phone, what mode - speakerphone or not?

I'd say the main problem could be you have an evil twin repeating your words a mili-second later and you're hearing your evil twin! ;)

Hi, if you can't find you evil twin to shut them up you could try removing your sim card and giving it a clean (use a clean cloth or pencil eraser - no solvents!). Worked for me when I had the same problem on my HTC Legend...

I would personally double check on the evil twin because that could become a problem in other circumstances too.

But seriously we need some more info and also make sure the person on the other line is not putting you on speaker or if he/she does not have the phone plugged in the car and sound would be coming back through the microphone.

i had the issue a few months back.. on sprint..

I noticed it was during very low signal stregnths.

I upgraded my PRL..
then my network radio...

then it was gone. not sure if PRL or radio that fixed it or a combination.

Thank you very much for the replies. I'm using an HTC Liberty (aka the AT&T Aria).

What is PRL?

I would also like to add that this only started occuring as of yesterday; i've had the phone for ~2 months.

(I was PM-ed to use the device specific forum next time; don't worry about suggesting this)

PRL.. is a list of towers available to you and for roaming on. Tower contracts change and the PRL tells the phone which towers are better for use.

I think it stands for Preferred Roaming List.

you can change it...
look in settings...
