Help what the hell! water damage!

i have the seido active case, and I took it off yesterday to check for dust/dirt under it.
when I opened the back cover both the little water check sticker on my phone and battery had red lines criss crossed on them. when I first got the phone I thought they were plain white. I know I haven't gotten the phone wet....

that is normal, all reports say the sticker will turn solid red/pink once it gets wet.

correct the stripes mean that the indicator is dry, and there is no water damage.

Doesn't actually matter I don't think — doesn't the insurance plan for these phones only come in the $7 variety which covers water damage? Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Don't think there is much you can do.
There is another water indicator inside the device also when you take the back off. (not the battery cover, the back that can be removed once screws are taken out)
