Help What to do about notifications with no LED?

Since I got the Optimus S, my only real gripe is the lack of any notification LED.

Is there some kind of work around like making the push buttons blink?

Also, is there a way to adjust the push buttons brightness?

best I found was NoLED app.

the four buttons are so dull its a joke, if ask. Missed reminder led, well probably flash te screen lol.
