Help What to do first

So my new phone should be here within the next few days. Have never had a smartphone before. I will be a newbie and due to this I don't plan on using the phone to its full potential for awhile, but am nervous about what I do and when.

I know I have to completely charge it first, but then what? All kinds of talk about rooting and not rooting...

Do I HAVE to, will it be worse if I don't root and try it later?

Any help from you experienced users would be greatly appreciated.

Just enjoy the phone! No need to worry about rooting for a long time. Get used to it. Swim around in the forum and get all sorts of hints and tips and fun things to do. Scroll thru the online manual. You are really going to love this phone. Got mine on "opening day" and have had zero problems.....so relax and enjoy!!
