What to do when a theme goes wrong

Its always handy when applying a theme to have a full backup and/or a theme restore package (eg. available in JKay's download screens)

I've seen themes go wrong and it can be worrying, so doing a full CWM backup before applying the theme is not unreasonable, but time (and space) consuming.

The theme restore package should get around this problem, by flashing it as per a normal theme.

HOWEVER. I was doing a little browsing today, and on the SD card, I noticed a "Themes" folder. Within there I found lots of ThemeBackup???.zip files. Each one is named with a date stamp and is (i assume) the themed state of my phone prior to each theme being flashed.

So if a theme does go wrong, it will be much easier just to go into this folder and flash the latest date-stamped .zip file

I've not tried one yet, but it will be certainly worth a try if one does go belly-up.

:)

Earliest file I have in my folder is dated 12th Oct, so this suggests it has not always been a feature, so I'm curious to know if this theme backup folder is a standard feature of a certain firmware version, or perhaps one that has come in with a custom ROM/Kernel/CWM version, as it doesn't seem to be a part of JKay's installer script.

I just came stumbled across this thread and was wondering if you have any update? I was longing to customize themes but afraid of messing it up.
