What to do with Cyanogenmod?

So I installed Cyanogenmod 7 and I was wondering what some cool things to do with it are. I've already done a few neat things like the power control from the notification bar and swipe down to bring up app drawer but I was wondering what everyone else does with Cyanogenmod :)

Its all good, I'm pretty n00b too :p Cyanogenmod is a ROM that you can have on your phone that replaces the stock android (on nexus s which I have). It allows a lot more cool settings and control. Such as I have it set that when I swipe down ont he home screen my app drawer comes up and I also have power controls now in my notification pulldown. You can set lock screen gestures so on your lock screen when you draw a certain path it automatically launches a certain application. I know there is a lot more to do with it then I know so thats what I'm waiting to see :)

I'm JUST now learning what all these things are. I know what rooting IS, but that's about it. I know NOTHING about what to do with ROMs or what to do in general after I root(haven't done so yet.)

Rooting your phone gives you root access to it, which is basically total access to EVERYTHING on your phone (if you know what your doing). It allows you to download some special apps also only available on rooted phones. One of the biggest features of rooting is the ability to install custom ROMS, which basically change around the way your phone, looks, works and feels. Such as if you have nexus s but like HTC sense, there is a ROM that will load HTC sense onto that phone. Every ROM can install differently so I would defiantly say look at tutorials before you do anything lol

Here are some of the CM7 settings I use:

-Notification bar on bottom
-Overclock without using SetCPU (kernel must support OC)
-Skip track, Bluetooth, wifi, and flashlight in status bar widget
-Be able to rotate phone 180 degrees
-Battery % in status bar

Those are a few of the settings, I also like the theme chooser and a few other things involving performance (VM heap size, JIT, surface dithering, etc)

Oh yeah, and I also no longer need a screenshot app since it is built into CM7

For what it's worth - for the last couple months (rough guess) Cyanogenmod 7 nightlies have built-in permission editing. :D

Hit some forums dedicated to CM7. What things interest you? Rather than using the shotgun approach of looking for things to do with CM7 you should focus on items relevant to you.
