What type of backup battery to get?

I'd get the samsung dock from the verizon store. It comes with a spare battery, and a compartment to charge said spare battery.

Fry's has SIIG portable battery charger. it is a LiIo battery that when fully charged, can charge your phone 2.5 times. about 1.5 times size of a credit card. Actually, smaller than Charge's display. Very portable, comes with a lot of tips, and you can charge both battery and phone same time, if connected in series.
$28. Of course, you need to wonder around with a cable for it then, but say for walking navigation - it's well worth it.
