what type of fonts does android support?

I'm trying to install some fonts to the fonts folder on my device


How can I do that and what type of fonts should I use?

I would also like to know this. Anyone have any info? I have a few fonts I made myself for my computer that I would love to find a way to use them on my device.

Specifically a "futuristic alien" font I created that only I can read hahaha that'll keep people from messing with my phone without my permission.
