Help What USB cable do I need

I buying some stuff from monoprice.com and figure I could use a couple of USB cables for my bionic.

But what cables should I get? Not exactly sure of the type.

There have been all kinds of problems with people using cables and chargers other than what came with their Bionic.

It is strongly recommend that you get them from Verizon and they have a Motorola logo. The reason is you don't know how good the quality control is on the other cables you are getting. They might work and they might not.

There was a universal charger (not Motorola) sold at Verizon that introduced problems like many other third-party chargers.

I've had issues with chargers, but monoprice cables have always been fine for me.
You want micro usb cables.
If you want to use the HDMI port to display your phone screen on your tv you need a micro hdmi cable

I agree with Thom, stay with VZW products. It may cost more, but if you fry your phone with non VZW products they may not replace it under warrenty.

You should always try to use original equipment when you can. With that said I got a Blackberry Playbook (cough) as a christmas gift and that micro usb works fine, but I keep my motorola cable handy, Just in case.
