Here we go folks, Poll to see how many android users are running which version of android. The poll will start will Android 2.3 as the lowest version that i will take count for. If you're running below android 2.3 on your android phone, YOU ARE 6+ Generation behind on software and probably 2-3 years behind on average hardware. I'm sorry but you should just go back to the old flip phone if thats you lol.

LG Optimus V -- Android 4.2.2 thanks to TheKraven :D
HTC One SV -- Android 4.2.2 w/Sense 4.5
Samsung Galaxy S -- Android 2.3
Samsung Galaxy S2 -- CyanogenMod!
Samsung Galaxy S3 on Sprint & Cricket -- CyanogenMod!
Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Codename "Maguro" and "Toroplus" CDMA Sprint & T-Mobile/ATT) -- Sprint: Android 4.2.2 ATT: Android 4.3
I really like Android 2.3. It was advanced in its own time....
:D
Basically, I'm all over the place. But I'd poll for Android 2.3.3 "Gingerbread". It was unique, it was the first smartphone OS I started.

Likewise for me, i too started with 2.3 buti think my favorite was that sexy blue 4.0+. Vote in poll please:) i have 2 phones running GB and 1 running 4.1.2 and gonna to buy a new one soon running 4.1.2 hopefully at least getting 4.2.2 in the future lol.

4.2 on a Nexus 4. I don't see anything I want in the newer versions. I don't need an "Experience".

You can keep the comments about being behind to yourself. I use the phone more as an encylopedia and a PDA, so if it doesn't have the latest gizmos and gadgets, I don't care . I want speed in opening databases from the apps I use. I have an Acer A500 that is running ICS. I can stream MLB, use a USB stick, and read this forum and that's enough. Running Sky Safari, Mobile Observatory, and Audubon apps at a good speed is what I want.

We do have a flip phone.

gingerbread 2.3.4 on my galaxy s. i had it up to 2.3.6, but i soft bricked it, and could only flash the lower version where root would take. it was either that or smash the damn thing. hahaha.

jb 4.3 on my gnex.

4.3.1 on gnex, nexus 7, and the recently sold s3

I'm curious as to why you included 4.4+ when its not out yet? Also, may be nitpicky, but 5.0 is almost certainly not going to be KLP, as the K release was 4.4

Kit Kat will be out in a few weeks so the new comers with a nexus device can vote that they have 4.4 since pretty much all supportable nexus devices gets the update first.
Hmm you're probably right but I guess we'll have to wait and find out lol.

4.2 on HTC One. Plenty of 4.3 ROMs available, but as not all features of my current ROM implemented in the 4.3 version yet I'm happy to wait (base version is rarely the most important factor these days).

oops, clicked 4.4.

i know it's not out, but my wife will update her Nex7 the moment it is so... can i count it?

Yup. This poll ends December 31st, 2014. Kitkat will defs be out by then :D

Didnt catch that

Gotcha.

I was just thinking it might be more insightful to have it go say a week or two, and then do another one in X months (4-6?) and see the general trends and how they change.

Just some thoughts I had for improving accuracy on future polls of this type

I know in a year+ when the poll ends I def won't still be on 4.3, and i bet for most people they're choice would change from now in that timeframe also. :p.

Nexus 4 on 4.3

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm probably going to hold off for a few days after KitKat becomes available and allow the bleedin' edgers to check it for howlers first :D

Well I'm little low on stats, currently stuck on android 2.3 gingerbread.
Hey why you included android 4.4 and 5.0, there aren't released yet so what's the use of mentioning them?

True, i've been thinking about all my polls lately. the new ones from now will only go to 6-7 months tops.
