Help What was that?

So I'm confused.

I went for a run today and I was using SportyPal and Pandora. At some point while my phone was in my pocket with nothing else in the pocket the headphones icon changed to the headset icon. All of a sudden the Pandora stopped. I thought it may have been a text that came in, a call, or SportyPal about to tell me how far I ran. It was just silence so unlocked the phone and I had a pop up showing that voice dial failed and it looked like it was trying to dial "John Doe" Pandora had also then skipped the song I was on.

I thought that was weird but kept going it happened 2-3 times in about 15-20 minutes. The phone was locked and when I pulled it out of my pocket it was still locked. Pandora eventually said I used my six skips and had to wait. I had not skipped any since I started my run.

I ran a scan with the Free Lookout I have on my phone which found nothing. I then shut down the internet and closed Pandora. SportyPal remained on with the GPS and I started listening to the music on my phone. I did this because my imagination wandered and I thought maybe someone was screwing with my phone remotely, so I'll shut off the data.

I didn't even get 1:20 into the song before I heard the music start to skip to the next song, it skipped about 4 songs in a row then got stuck on one and played it at 2x speed. I finally restarted and continued my run with just my music and GPS, Internet, Pandora, Sportypal all off. Nothing happened during the last 15 minutes of my run

What the hell just happened, any ideas?
I have an Inspire 4G with AT&T and Gingerbread

It just happened again. 40 minutes in skipped two songs on Pandora then it tried to voicedial when I had no headset hooked up.

Anyone have any ideas...

I'm clueless. I have 3 inspires none of the which have experienced this problem.

This last time you mention were you listening to just Pandora or was sportypal also running or any other app running?

The 2nd time it was again with Pandora and SportyPal. This is with the GPS and Data on. I have never had a problem when just using Pandora. I guess on my next run I'll use SportyPal only and see if it occurs.

Sounds like the problem may be with sportypal.

Edit: I went and downloaded sportypal, and about 17 mins into using it and Pandora, Pandora started acting glitchy. Prior to this app I have had no problems with Pandora. So my guess is for some reason it doesn't play nice with Pandora.

I don't think the problem is with Pandora or Sportypal. I don't have either on my Epic4G but I just started having this problem this afternoon. I was just finished using the gmail app and was on the "desktop" or whatever you call it and I got this same pop-up. I was busy and didn't have time to figure it out just then so I turned the phone off (not a complete shut down but just screen off) and it must have kept trying to call "John Doe" (literally that's what it said) because a couple of hours later I found that the battery had completely drained.

I might bring it to the Sprint store to see if they have any ideas but those bozos always just want to reformat it (or whatever you call it with a phone) which is a huge pain.
