What with Apps before Upgrade Firmware?

Hi

I should be upgrading the firmware of my Galaxy S2 soon. I'm using a lot of Apps on my phone. I believe that, when I do the upgrade, I lose all my Apps. Any way to backup the Apps, print out a list of the Apps or save the list on my computer as a txt, or something else, file?

There is a list of all the Apps in the Downloaded Tab of the Task Manager.

Thanks

1) If you do an official upgrade and even through ODIN for some firmware versions, they are non-wipe meaning you don't lose your apps.

2) You lose apps with factory reset, and there is a chance you might have to resort to that if there are problems with the phone after upgrade. You can of course reset before the upgrade.

3) There are apps that can backup your apps. Look for those in the market. What they do is to change your apps to APK files so you don't have to download them again. You can also copy your data files (like from gameloft games) into the PC then transfer them back after that.

4) There are some apps that can back up your saved games as well like angry birds

5) Some apps can back their settings up within the apps. Just remember to copy those relevant folders out and paste back in after.

6) Backup contacts and message with Kies, apps, google etc.

7) For everything else, just note them down.

Cheers
