What would you do first!

Ive played with the s4 (yeah i trolled it too) in a shop and it felt really laggy but id guess thats just the bloated firmware. Samsung based 4.2 roms do feel laggy to me :thumbup:
 
Yeah, Samsung's software optimisation is so bad I can't believe it. On certain tasks, TW is really fast, but on the most basic things it sucks.

You should check out UAG (urban armour gear) very good case, protects the phone very well, think it looks pretty cool as well

I have found that for a lot of things, the best way to transfer between phone and pc is to use drop box or something similar. Saves messing around with cables and memory cards, obviously depends on size of files. Have fun.

Decided on the black one mate :) i do like how the white one looks like a stormtrooper from star wars lol but the black is more classy i think :thumbup:
 
I'll be ordering the black UAG case as well. Along with the Aluminum one from Ebay. Want to check them both out.

Also my phone is at 4.1.2 is that the newest JellyBean?
 
Its the newest official release for the s3 bro. You can get upto 4.2.2 though.
Let us know how that metal case is. I quite fancy it too :)
 
For item 4. I would only recommend ES File Manager from Play Store. It offers amongst many benefits: -

1. it's FREE
2. it has a built-in ftp server
3. if you decide to root it has a facility to manage write/read access
4. superb modern and easy to navigate GUI
5. tabs for local SD memory (including internal), local network folders, cloud folders (i.e. Skydrive, Google drive, Dropbox and several more)
6. copy, cut, paste, multi-selection (long-press any item and tick boxes appear)
7. a lot of other useful stuff including themes, if you really need them.
8. Transfer data via WiFi or Bluetooth to your PC

I agree. ES File Manager is pretty awesome. The UI has changed a bit since I started using it, and at first, it threw me off, but I've adapted.
 
Old or New - it's an awesome app. The new UI is very windows-like and once you got used to it everything is second nature. I love the ftp shortcut you can put on your phone's desktop; one click and it is running, then open status bar and tap on the notification to simply stop/kill the ftp server.
 
For number 4 look into Dropbox (see the link in my signature). It's great for the occasional file transfer back and forth. You can set it up to automatically upload you photos from you phone to PC anytime both are connected to the same WiFi network (or via 4G, data usage applied). You can also share links with others of files in you Dropbox account.
