Good metro phones is probably subjective.

I have no experience with any but the Optimus M and the Esteem, and while both are ok phones they are old and very dated.

I heard the spirit is good, as is the samsung galaxy s3. However I know there are more out there I dont hear much about them.

The LG Spirit and the smallish LG Motion are both good phones on the cheap. The current flagship is the GS3 but there are rumors of the GS4 coming to Metro. Then again Metro just completed a merger with T-Mobile and reports say we should be seeing phones that will run on T-Mobiles faster (in most areas) network at Metro stores so you might want to wait and see. And if we can get Metro sim cards that run on Tmo towers that opens up a ton of choices.

I'd get something cheap off Ebay that can hold you off until everyone sees how this merger ish is going to play out. Don't wanna fork up several hundo's and then better options become available.

Get you a Motion off the Bay for the low. That should hold you over.

Huawei Premia 4G is a decent phone for the money, and is about the same price as the Motion. Huawei hasn't been the most reputable brand and is somewhat tarnished here, but I took the chance and picked one up because I wasn't going to cough up an extra $100 for the Spirit. It has turned out to be a great phone, somewhat comparable to the Motion in performance but with a MUCH better HD display.

Huawei has definitely done the brand some justice with the Premia, but it may be too little, too late since the last 4G they made (Activa 4G) was a total POS LOL... I am happy with it though. I am also happy with my Motion too, just do some thorough research to find what best suits you

I'd prolly second this. I'm betting that the SGS3 should have a price drop in the next few months.

It is without a doubt the best phone for flashing roms and everything else.

After the SGS3, the LG Spirit and LG Motion have the most community development going on, but their bootloaders are locked, which makes things very difficult.
