Whats everyone think so far?

Why do people think that the battery will get better after a week? JW ha
That is my only problem with the phone..the battery does not last long at all, even with app killers

I returned my MDroid too, swapped for the Incredible. Made the right choice, I love the new one. You can switch handsets easily with verizon, BTW, just call them or visit the website and change the EIN code. We do it all the time here. the net effect is pretty much identical to swapping a SIM card, except yer contacts don't move to the new device.

I like it. Battery is a bit disappointing. Dont leave comments knocking my comment on the battery, I get some are loyal to HTC and wont hear it. But it has been draining awfully quick with little usage. Also been having alot of problems with getting my mail while using a wifi network connection, anyone know why?

^^ you suck, HTC batteries are great!

:D

won't be long, I'm sure, before we can get extended life batteries. Will be at the top of my list.

re: yer mail problems, what kind of problems specifically? yer getting an error?

my first smart phone .... it is really killer. i am still getting used to the whole virtual keyboard, im still trying to figure out how to hold the damn thing.... i keep changing hand positions and grips trying to make it most comfortable while typing.

portrait mode typing sucks .... landscape rules.

its fast, and quite beautiful to look at.

downloading is fast on 3g and insane on wifi.

camera is better than i thought, though i havent printed anything yet. and the flash is WAY to bright.

games are fun, and so far only 1 app hasnt worked (droidlight: supposed to turn on flash like a flashlight)

sad my reception isnt any better than sprint (just switched) and im in a major city ...chicago

battery .... not disapointed, but also not impressed

Ok I found a problem. At my office I have 1 to 3 bars Verizon. Went to the bathroom in the center of the bldg and it switched to 1X. Now fo rthe last hour at my desk it will not switch back to 3g. i even went out side and no 3G. I am sure i can reboot but i want it to work on its own.

Its not a child or a puppy, you can go ahead and force the issue and make it work. Are you hoping to teach it something new or what?

I can't see anyone not liking this phone. I love it works great no flaws at all. This will be verizons top selling phone. I am sure some got defective ones and some are having user error issues but for the most part this device rocks!

I left my “BB storm 1” for “HTC DI” my first android phone. I got it for 106.99 could not pass it up for that price. I did need to tweak the phone a littlie, but I’m very happy with it at this point. No rebooting or pulling the battery once day like with my BB. I’ll never go back android fanned forever. The web browser is awesome have not had any problem using any website I need for work or play. I like to tether and probably will but truly not need with this browser.

:D:D:D:D:D:D

I love this phone.
I have been using it for over a week now, since I got an early 'error-ship' unit.
I love the fact that you can power-control all the radios in this phone, with individual On/Off controls.

1. WiFi Transceiver
3. Bluetooth Transceiver
3. 3G Transceiver (phone!)
4. GPS Receiver
5. FM Radio Receiver
6. Magnetic Receiver (compass)

Google Sky Map for Android is the COOLEST (free) App!

l love this FAST phone. It's perfect!! (so far!)

I came from the Storm so I think you all know what my answer would be :)

I think I figured out the battery life issue by turning the alway-on Mobile Network off.

Now I need to make each of my three emails have different notification sounds as well as my sms / mms messages.

While no one does messaging like blackberry I would not call this a toy. If you want a toy get a iphone.

So far I have nearly everything I had working on blackberry and the only minor change was adjusting my work pages to SMS from a dedicated email account. Not that its not possible it was just the first method I found. Everything else is now at least equal or better than it was on my BB tour.

First full work day I went 10 hours 40mins with moderate use and had 30% left. Still working to understand if turning off "Enable always-on mobile data" is feasible.

without visual reminder of missed message, this is no more than a consumer toy; business users will stick to Blackberry

The IPhone is a toy? and the HTC isn't? The HTC is rebooting, dropping calls, poor incoming CQ - worse battery than the IPhone - sounds like a broken toy.
