Dinner tonight is Nolan Ryan's pre-cooked beef sausage cooked over a George Foreman Grill...not real exciting...but it's my second try using the grill and I shouldn't be able to screw up pre-cooked sausage. I did a practice run earlier today with one piece of sausage and I did not become violently ill so it seems to be OK to keep going!
Last night we had omelets of sorts with veggies I got from the farmer's market (mustard greens, spring onions, mushrooms), cheddar. With that was a potato salad with bacon. Was a nice accompaniment with our mint juleps for the race.
I had the chance to eat lunch at a local Red Robin restaurant yesterday. My friends told me that this place makes the best hamburgers, so I thought I'd try it. My friends were right, that was the best burger I've ever had.. and their fries were excellent. planning on going back to this place tonight for dinner, but this time I'm going to finish off with one of their famous milk shakes. The food and atmosphere are amazing.
That's awesome. I love cooking and experimenting with different things. Good thing my boyfriend loves food because I'm the one that has showed him what Puerto Rican food is. Its awesome. please share what else he makes or you guys make together.
I grilled out some sirloin and baked some sweet potatoes. Considering the day started out cold and wet it was a great evening to grill something yummy.
Alright, X, making pizza tonight.
Started dough with my sourdough. Should be nice for this evening.
Making some fennel sausage. Forgot I gave away my meat grinder Kitchen Aid attachment, so guess I'll be using the food processor.
With that, roasted cauliflower and carmelized onions on the pizza.
Going to make the kale caesar after we were SOOOO impressed with the one at Range (Bryan Voltaggio's restaurant in DC). Loosely based on this recipe here: Kale "Caesar" Salad : Recipes : Cooking Channel
Should be a nice dinner. Perhaps I'll even make dessert!
Okay, making dessert. Ice-cream sammies. Make some choco chip cookies, store bought ice-cream and fold in some fruit.
