Had left over mexician with Mike's hard lemonade, my first one in ages, I end up washing my hands sort of speak, I cannot eat pop corn after dinner or the seeds get always stuck in my tounge.

Unless I change my mind, I'm fixing chicken fried steak and turnips.

I changed my mind. I made a meatloaf to go with my mashed turnips. The last time I had turnips was before I retired... the last year I had a garden. I love turnips and I love turnip greens.

Last night, was build your own sammich for me, left over egg salad,
on top of Guda cheese, with a side of yogurt. on a chocolate chip bagel.

After my wife's surgery, last week, she's been having stomach cramping and pain. It's probably being caused by her pain meds, and she hasn't been wanting much to eat.

Last night she flat out said that she was hungry and wanted something to eat. So I fixed her a plate of some of the leftovers that we had. She didn't eat it all, but I was really happy that she was actually hungry.

She ate some coconut cake and a banana with her coffee this morning and I'm planning on us having some ham and potato salad for our supper.

Grilled country style spareribs and garden fresh green beans.

Last night, I sliced up the remining country style spareribs and warmed it up with some bbq sauce for sandwiches. I don't know what I'll fix tonight. Nothing really sounds that good to me. Maybe fix a hamburger or hotdogs or maybe some grilled cheese sandwiches. It seems like we are stuck in sandwich mode. :(

How about pork chops and a nice side dish for you?

It's gonna be leftovers for tonight.
Some combination of hot chicken nuggets, fries, lasagna, cabbage, great northern beans, brown rice, and a rotisserie chicken.
The Boss Lady's aunt keeps bringing us stuff every other day it seems.

I may have to send my new pants back for a bigger size.

I vote for the great northern beans and brown rice. Some onion and cornbread and you are set!
It was my mistake for marrying a woman that doesn't really care for any kind of beans.

I love a good bowl of beans.
My favorite is the 13 bean blend.

With all those choices tonight we had a chicken noodle casserole with some sort of cherry dump something that my father-in-law brought down. We got leftovers to last till next week.

Regularly, we had lima, pinto, navy, butter, Kidney, and black beans. I can't leave out black eyed peas, split peas, and lentils that were also enjoyed often. Most all were cooked with ham hocks. I'm a huge fan of navy beans that were called navy peas at my house.

We went out to eat tonight at a local bbq establishment. My wife had a chef salad that had pulled pork for meat. I had a chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and some fried okra. Something that caught my attention on their menu... smoked sliced brisket.. $29.99 a pound!

I had planned on fixing sausage gravy and home made biscuits with some scrambled eggs for dinner. My son text and he wants to come over for some beers and hang out time. I never say no to that. His work hours have changed and he will be here around 4:30. I'll have to do my cooking and eating once he leaves and I have no idea what time that might be. It's looking like another sandwich night. :)

It was a ham and cheese sandwich and a package or Ramen noodles for dinner. I'll likely save the breakfast idea for early next week. My wife isn't a big breakfast eater. I'll try to scheme up something that is more to her liking for dinner this weekend.
