whats happening to my phone??

every now and then when i dont touch my phone and leave it in my pocket for a period of time and then take it out to check whatever the display will not come up. i will be pressing the top power button but then it will not show anything. sometimes it will lag and then my home screen will pop up after a minute of pressing the power button or even worse i have to take out the battery and put it back in!

is there anything i can do with this issue. i have a feeling it maybe overheats in my pocket therefore does not function correctly when i take it out?

are you running any "optimization" software to lower clocks, or response timings when it's locked? if so this is probably the culrpit, if not, it could be overheating...
