What's holding you back?

Only thing holding me back is Sprint =\ - The service in my area is horrible. T-Mobile is a little better in my area but not much =\ - I was waiting for the official announcement to decide but I will be forced to move to Verizon. I'm disappointed but I was always told never to pick a phone first and a carrier second. I learned my lesson with my Evo3D. Always pick the carrier with the best service in your area first.

Ohh well =(

What about AT&T? They have decent coverage and the Nexus 5 will work on their network?

The leaks are correct. The Nexus 5 is posted on Google's site. My hangup is that I am on Verizon, and it is the only service that works in a few areas. I am however sick of their locked down phones, slow upgrade process and gradually increasing prices. Any for certain word if this thing will work for Verizon?

"only Verizon Wireless opting out of carrying the device." per cnet link

I'm leaving Sprint as soon as I get my Nexus 5 in hand. I'm done with their spotty service.

Lack of external SD is a BIG negative. Also no VZW support.

!reception == no point of having even a great phone

The only thing holding me back right now is cash otherwise I would have ordered one today. I will probably wind up buying one from T-Mo b/c it will be the only place to get one here. Last year the N4 was agonizing to wait on.

Cash is holding me back. Maybe sometime in the new year I'll be able to get one, unless I pick up a used N4!

I ordered too late in the day today. Says it will take 3-4 weeks. When will Amazon or Best Buy be selling them? Will it be sooner or about the same time? And will the prices be the same? I would like to get the phone sooner than later....

Yeah no battery is a big bummer. I stream sports all day long on my Galaxy Note 2. I go through 3 batteries daily. Luckily I have 2 external chargers for my extra batteries.
I like Samsung because they have removable battery and sd card slot. I don't like Samsung because they seem to have the worse reception of the many brand of phones I have owned. If anyone knows of any other current crop premium phones that have a removable battery, let me know.

The size of it is holding me back, they need a nexus 5 mini with the same spec as the nexus 5 and dare I say it, would probably out sell the current one, for my point of view this thing is just to big to be practical. Bigger is not always better :smokingsomb:

This seems to be what I've heard from almost every Sprint user, it's horrible. My dad has been with Sprint for over 10 years and he loves it. Most people never get my texts and some times my wife will have to call me 15-20 times before my phone even rings.

I know my city isn't huge, but it was an initial launch city for Verizon LTE, and it currently has AT&T and T-Mobile LTE. It was even a lucky one to get Sprint WiMax. But yet, not even a hint of LTE here. With that in mind, I don't get why anyone would use Sprint in my location given that knowledge.

I'm right there with you. We are covered in Wimax around here and there has been no LTE at all. (Not even an announcement.) Although, it is slowly starting to turn on. I managed to get LTE at the airport, but it's not anywhere else yet. All of my friends make me extremely jealous that are on Verizon or AT&T. Hell, even my friends with T-Mobile get HSPA+ speeds above 10 mbps. I'm lucky if I can get 0.6 mbps on 3G with Sprint.

Another one here without (affordable) 4G til next year, but I doubt there'd be any advantage to waiting. Apart from that, the bigger screen and changes to the camera look great, but I can't and probably won't decide if that's worth the extra money over the n4 for me (probs at the very least

Holding me back is a Nexus 5 that supports LTE in both the U.S. and Europe. Coming from a VZW Gnex and I prefer a pure android interface. Also, leaving VZW for TMo regardless of the device.

The only phone that seems to be able to use LTE in both the U.S. and Europe is the Note 3 which is a little big for my phone preferences. Also I'm not a fan of TouchWiz. Anybody else have other suggestions for a phone that can use LTE in the U.S. and Europe?

I'm not sure which version of the Note 3 can do it, but the International models are region locked and won't work in the US. As for another device, it's going to be really hard to find one that does. The US essentially has no overlapping LTE frequencies except for a small handful of markets that have Band 4 LTE for Verizon & AT&T. Combine that with the fact that Europe and Asia use a completely different set of frequencies and it becomes a nightmare. HSPA is a lot better than Verizon 3G, so you would probably be fine traveling to Europe and using that.

What's holding me back? hmmm...I'm not in the United States. Think Sprint is bad in your area, should try it around here then. :D

We're definitely spoiled around here, so I probably sound like a whiny teenage girl. :P

Looks like the TMo Note 3 can. According to their specs page, the TMo Note 3 works on band 3, 2600mhz which would work in the U.K. and Switzerland (the places I'm in most frequently).

Am I reading the spec sheet correctly....here is the link: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 | T-Mobile Support

What's holding me back?

The zillion or so enthusiasts that hit the order button ahead of me... :D
