What's New: Android Gingerbread 2.3.6

My old samsung precident had a microphone icon on the keyboard so I could speak to it and it converted speech to words... My new phone Huawei Y has android 2.3.6 gingerbread and does not have that feature... Where is it , or how can I voice enter data and messages and text ?
