So I got slim bean out the door and paranoid should be fixed soon. What do you guys wanna see next?

Miui or Pac?

Right now Pac is stuck on a boot loop. Plus if I can get it working I may just drop paranoid since the settings are there as well

Custom gb roms are pretty much done cause there is only so much you can do to stock, since we don't have cm7 there honestly isn't much to do but add custom themes.

PAC rom is a combination of aokp, cm, paranoid android all together in one package PAC ROM

Phenom is working on 4.3 I think. I'm just a porter not a developer but always willing to help

As far as 4.1 it works fine, that's what my latest roms are based on. 4.1.2 to be exact
 
From what I've seen on the forums that Phenom was working on 4.4 but he couldn't get it to boot or something and it needed a different recovery

He has the recovery built, the ROM built but gets stuck at the LG logo. Plus right now it's too large for our phone to hold
 
All you have to do is repartition the system partition. I believe there should be a flash able zip that could probably be made to do that.

Incidentally this is what I think may be wrong with my paranoid android. The answer I keep getting from different forums is that there is something wrong with the partitions.
 
Our phone has enough space for kitkat but I don't think gapps will fit so I'd have to make a gapps that installs in data. Hopefully I can get it to boot soon but busy with an other device plus other things so I don't know how soon.

just noticed this thread, Pac rom looks interesting.

Prob will give it a go in a few days, hate to start completely over again but at the same time its fun.

I assume I can go right from AOKP to this?

pac is something i'm sort of working on on the side, currently it doesn't even boot fully

i do have a website but haven't updated it in a while, i've been too busy playing team fortress 2 lol plus been sick lately.

Never mind the "verizon wireless" thing, i just haven't changed the RIL yet

MIUI v4 3.2.22 based on jellybean 4.1.2 works nearly flawlessly, only mass storage needs to be fixed.

Going to also attempt MIUI v5 3.4.5 based on jellybean 4.1.2 later tonight. Either way MIUI will be uploaded tomorrow.

I found a 4.1.2 Version of it so maybe with your guide and the help of google i could try to port it. Developing Roms seems to be a little out of my of my grasp right now. Porting seems like an easier and less frustrating start.
 
Good news is it really is about a 10 minute process to port. All i have to do now is change the update script and i can flash it. Bad news it most likely not going to boot...
 
Okay I ported it. IT should at least be flashing now. I keep getting an error saying it cannot even open the zip file. I tried a few other times and it was altleast opening the file.... then it failed Hmm i guess I will try again later. How you do all this on a phone Ken is beyond me lol.

I think it is the Update script.... i will play around with it a little longer. No the script should be fine it was the way i was turning it into a zip wrong. Now the updater binary is acting up lol
 
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SYSTEM UI crashes and so does everything elese it boots. Thats about it lol. Let me test some more and tell wat works System settings work somewhat.
If anybody wants to tell me there experience with it i will pm the Rom to you

Let me try getting rid on some of these applications. They might be the cause.

try replacing systemui with the one from phenoms cm10

porting time really depends on a lot of things, it could 'just work' or you could be spending 5 days debugging a single issue, it just depends.

if you would like my help shoot me the download link and the link to the original rom you are porting from

Yeah that fixed it. I am going to try using System UI and Settings from a different version.
