I'm happy with the MoDaCo r9 ROM. Quick, stable, A2SD+ and all that.

Best of all it has 802.11n WiFi!

you need to use setcpu to clock it and set the governor to "smartass"

Setcpu lets you choose from the available cpu governors, but smartass isn't available by default. So you'll need a custom kernel which includes that one.
