Root What's the best way to selectively bulk delete text messages?

Tried an app but had as much success as I do with delete option in text app.

I am rooted and have super user if it makes a difference.

Anyone know if there's a way to do it with es file explorer? I dont want to do a bulk delete but will resort to that if necessary.

that is how i do it with a bulk delete. i do not think so with es file manager. never used it for that.
