What's the update?

I just got an update from tmo but don't know what it is. I'm currently on firmware version 2.1-update 1 but I thought I was already on that. Baseband version T959UVKA2; Kernel version 2.6.29; and Build number eclair.uvka2. Anything I should know about this update?

It is some kind of network compatiblity update. Check the TMo forums.

Have there been any reports of the update causing problems on rooted phones like the last update did? Do I need to unroot prior to installing the update?
