Whats up with this site?

In my mobile view of this site, there's a huge, space wasting white box on the left side of the screen called "my android".

How do I get rid of it?
 
I dont think you can. Rob has also talked about doing away with the mobile version of the site entirely. I dont know if he changed his mind or not.

I did think they had removed it from mobile viewing and was only supposed to be visible from the main page.
 
I figured it was to be able to scroll the page up and down with your thumb without accidentally pressing on a link. =)
