You seem to be obsessed with penis size. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...or in this case, sometimes a bulge in a pocket is just a 4.3" cell phone.

Especially in these threads where Apple is bashed for being "evil" and Android
is bashed for "not being Apple"

I think this is more along the lines of favorite sports teams, political parties, etc.
Some people don't like Apple because of the unprecedented amount of control and restriction they apply to their consumer electronics. To a lot of folks, the way they seem to be moving these things from free and open computers to closed media consumption appliances is enough to make us get angry and frustrated. We mainly just don't want to see the whole industry move in that direction so other options are popular among folks like us.
Either way, people have a tendency to organize into factions and teams and there will always be outspoken zealots and partisans in any group who get a kick out of antagonizing the others.

Hmm you do bring a good point, i never really though about on the Apple vs Android battle
but me and most of the average american teens and adults
don't really no how open Android is and how closed Apple is becoming

Yeah, I've read the tech news long enough to know how Apple pretty much stamps out anything that doesn't go through iTunes these days...Flash, third party stores, patches, mods, etc. Anything that takes you out of the iTunes loop is a big no-no for Apple because it's how they get their cut.
There are two ways of looking at these things...either as a computer where you can install whatever you want on it or as an appliance or game console which comes to you from the manufacturer and stays in the same state until a change is issued through official channels. Android fans tend to fall into the first camp and Apple fans tend to fall into the second camp.
I say "fans" because plenty of regular people don't really know or care about this stuff and just pick based off what looks like the most fun or what their friends have.

yeah that's pretty much me. I hate being behind in technology...in anything really
i never keep a cell long enough(a couple of months...4 at the most)
before i get the newest phone my company offers
So that would be a storm 2, droid, imagio, eris, and palm pre all in a matter of 8 months

It wasn't exactly meant to be a stereotype in the sense your making it.
I don't know much about the demographics here in the evo section...this much is true.
however seeing how i spent months in the eris forum and in my 2 weeks in the hero forum(i've noticed only a few females)
most of the arguments i have witnessed have been between guys arguring over droid vs eris, eris vs incredible or incredible vs evo, my statement
did hold some validity
