Whats your favorite off time activity

I have many :p

One of my favorite off time activities is going out on natural trails and snapping pictures of what I see. It really helps me to get from behind a desk and looking at a screen all day :)

What helps you unwind?
 
I love hiking. I hit Douglas Mountain in Maine last weekend and I'm aiming for Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire this weekend. Even went as far as getting camel backs for my son. I'll get me one soon. It's nice to just be somewhere quiet with my son.
 
walking in a forest, photographing, drawing, just beeing in a cottage and enjoying the nature and a sauna... couple weeks ago i was in Lapland walking on a forest/fjeld... met raindeers and was eaten by mosquitoa...
 
In random order... Listening to music, collecting vinyl, going to the movies, reading, gardening, meeting friends and family, spending time with my partner. Being in these forums. And making trips with our cabrio on sunny days :)

Walking/hiking especially in a park or other peaceful environment. Listening to Jazz, reading, watching an episode or two of the Office if I need a laugh. Talking with family and meeting with friends.

As I get older (and I'm not that old o_O) I find it's really important to make the most of the time I have. It doesn't have to be anything 'big' but it should be something enjoyable. There are too many things today competing for our time and attention and taking time for ourselves is not being selfish - it's one of the few things in life that keep us sane.
