Help when battery is low , phone dims!

I HAVE POWER SAVING MODE OFF!

hi , got a little issue. Its probably a setting but I cant find it. when my battery hits 5% the phone dims to very dark . I cant stand it . I don't need it to reduce the brightness because I always have another battery on my person all the time.

The easiest thing would be to recharge it

Nothing you can do about that and it's normal. It's meant to save as much battery as possible while you can get to a charger. I remember reading it in the manual long ago.

Battery at 5% is NOT low, is almost dead, YOU NEED PLUG IT IN!

this stupid "feature" make the screen so dim its practically unusable outside so you might as well charge it

Its a feature that u can't disable once it goes past 5% then u can't change brightness setting at all.

What device are you using?

Since OP is in the Note 2 section as well as the fact that OP's profile lists a Note 2, I then think it's safe to assume that's the phone OP is inquiring about.

This shouldn't be an issue, if it bothers you so much, just swap your batteries.

Plus it's not advisable to totally drain the battery if you want it to last longer.

5% is nearly empty. If the display would not dim, no juice would be left for the processor and the phone would simply die on you. I don't think that's a "stupid" feature.

The S3 doesn't do this nor do my older phones. Yet still they work sufficiently...

Yes, this is actually very annoying, I have a backup battery, and I switch them when the phone dies, I don't care if it's down to 1%, I want my screen to stay on bright until it dies, so theres no setting I get it, but still I prefer that my brightness stay 100% bright. The OP didn't ask for advice on how to extend his battery life, he ask if there was a setting to stop it from dimming, stop doing so much extra, lol.
