Help When I thought I was going to keep the Ascend

I find out that I can not answer calls while using apps. I use apps...like 90% of the time when not at work.

Are there any ways around this, or apps around this! Really thought things were looking up!!

The only other thread I could find about this problem were on these forums and no one had a solution. Hopefully one of yall do! Thanks

I really don't know what to say, I use apps too but not all day long, and besides, if you can't get calls, you'll get the voice mail, and just call the person back, not really a huge deal, and if they don't leave a voice mail and they really need to talk to you, I bet they call back again.

Kids these days, they never leave voicemails! Ha

Im a manager of a cvs, I need my employees to be able to get ahold of me then and now, ya know

Have your employees text you if they already tried to call but you were on apps. Let them know, if you call, and I don't answer it's because I am using apps and my phone blocks the calls, just send me a text in case that happens. I do not know what else to suggest.

Yeah, there are ways around it. I was just hoping there was some sort of fix or something. Probably wont be a deal buster, but it hurts

Don't get me wrong, I agree fully, If I am playing a game, or on Facebook, or in the market, I should be forced out when I receive a call. I don't see why the hell they have it set up to ignore the call....******ed

I have Cricket. If I am playing a game...downloading something....anything at all ...and I get a call it comes right through.

This must be something to do with either Metro or your settings. I just checked by going into one of my apps and then I called myself and it came right through.

I actually have not tested it yet, but I will tomorrow, my phone is dead, so I keep turning it on, and letting it turn off so I can fully drain the battery

Another thought is this: Doesn't Metro get updates by OTA? Maybe Metro has it configured so that an incoming call will not interrupt a major update.

You weren't using wifi when you tested...correct?

I just tried it with Pandora Radio playing...and it also rang right through. As soon as I picked it up and then hung up...Pandora picked right back up.

You lose OTA once you are rooted

I'm pretty sure (not 100%) but, a rooted phone will get the update. It's only when we start installing custom roms signed with different keys than the carrier/huawei uses that the installation of the update fails. It will likely still download to your phone though. May be custom recoveries that block it. Can't remember which one is the culprit. I'm out for the night.

Oh sweet, so if your using the original rom, and your rooted, you can still get 2.2 OTA
