Just noticed that the Razr's ICS lock screen is available for those using Go Locker now.

I don't see ICS as a mess at all! I see it as the best version of Android to date! Are there small kinks? Of course, new stuff is never perfect. But in due time they'll have it rollin silky smooth.
 
@ the OP....I'm going to say around Spring. Maybe beginning of April.

After Mobile World Congress there should be a better picture because a lot of those phones should be based of an ICS platform.

Honestly if they push it to Summer, that's crazy! That would be almost 8 months after the launch of the original Razr. To long for an update IMO.

I still think that we will get an OTA between 2.35 and ICS....and soon. ICS is still having quite a few issues, I would rather wait a month or two longer and have it truly functional.

"Go Locker" is an add on for the launcher "Go Launcher". Go, is one of many alternative launchers out there (ADW is another). It allows you to customize settings, appearance, screens, icons and the locker screen. check the market for Go Launcher EX.
 
I just did a search and found many ICS lockscreens. Which one is closest to the real android lock screen? Are any identical (designed by google)?

Thats also a pretty bold claim to say NONE of the UI/design features, functionality of ICS.. You do realize there's more to ICS than on screen buttons, right?

Anyway....to the OP, its coming. Its just a matter of when...not if..... One time I said Feb-Mar. Might have to say Mar-Apr now. Trying to guess based on when the G Nex on Verizon is getting its official ICS updates.

I was leaning toward RAZR but I really wanted ICS - it looks like I can table that requirement and just go for the RAZR? (currently own HTC Incredible)
 
Honestly, there's no perfect software.

Any new release will have its bugs.

My iOS 5 kept crashing Safari while browsing in simple sites, as well as freezing the homescreen while changing tabs.

Can you describe these quite a few issues for me? I've been using a Nexus since day 1, no major issues here. curious to see what you found in just 3 days.

I had horrible connectivity issues. Verizon tried 2 diff Sim cards. I actually had screen shots for a period of 2.hours where it would not connect while my wife in the same room had great connection on her tbolt.

I never got to root it, maybe a different radio would have helped. It was.a sweet looking phone, loved ics but I just could not get a signal. While I was at the store there was another person with the same issue.

The Razr connected right away same location. Maybe I just got a bad unit, but I do need the phone to be functional.

Glad you are not having any problems both are great phones, I just had no.luck with the gnex.

Seems like that signal issue is regional. For reference, I took my phone across country from Texas to the west coast and it definitely did struggle with signal from northern Colorado to western Idaho often losing connectivity, however once in the Seattle area, it did just as well as it had here at home. Pretty strange deal honestly. Glad the Razr worked out for you, would have been my second choice.

Northern Colorado and a lot of Idaho have terrible signal no matter what phone you have. :D It has a lot to do with the mountains as well as the insulation of the buildings in the area.

Haha very likely true about the mountains. We were in vehicles the whole time other than a night in Laramie, WY and one in Ogden, UT.

Surprisingly, I've found that even being outside it can still be a building issue. Coming from Georgia were heavy insulation isn't as needed I was surprised at how thick the building walls are out here.
