when showing people my droid x....

We've got 3, (maybe 4 or 5 now), X owners at work now and a couple Apple fanboyz waiting for the iPhone to come to Verizon.

While waiting for the rain to pass at the golf course Tuesday I showed the active radar screen from the local TV station to a few golfers. One of them asked if it was a TV or a phone. Got to love the size.

I show my x to people at work and the first thing they say is "I'm not paying for that data plan" but then once i tell them all the awesome things an Android phone can do they are amazed and my best friend actually went out and got one! Sadly there is one Guy at work who has an X but does simply nothing with it but occasionally text and make a phone call, he laughs at me and pretty much tells me I'm stupid whenever i show him something i have done......

I actually think it's quite small, let me explain. I almost wasn't going to buy this phone because I thought it looked too big however when you put it in your pocket it takes up less space than my old BB Tour because it's so thin. There are times where I have to feel my pocket to make sure that it's still there.

Also having the big screen is more than worth having a longer phone, when you show people how much easier it is to type on it, view the internet and view videos, they get it.

This happens to me alot. U would think since it looks so big, is big, is longer than any current phone, one would have no problem knowing which pocket its in. And I almost always put it in camera first.

Before i got my phone , my sister (who has us cellular)... said it was huge when i showed her one at a verizon wireless contractor store.. it was a none working demo one.

Then lo and behold... when i got it, she opted to use mine instead of hers to look up something on the internet.... and checks it out almost everytime i go there....

kinda comical... :)

I don't understand the "too big" complaints. It's big yes. But TOO big. NO.

I hope you're right! I have kind of small hands, and if I'm single-handing it, I can't reach the top upper corner very easily, so it is almost too big. It was a concern, but I am going to give it a try and see how it works out and if I can get used to it. I'll have 30 days, and if I can't adjust to the size, I'll just swap for a DInc. But I've heard that you adjust to the size pretty quick, so that's why I went with the DX in the first place when I finally pulled the trigger and bailed on my iPhone. Now if the dang DX would just ship!

My appleboy friends usually tell me to "whip out my iPad" to look something up. My X fits a lot better in my pocket than my old BB Storm did though thank to being so thin. I also could never go back to a smaller screen.

My DX should arrive tomorrow afternoon. I've been to my local Verizon store a couple times since I placed my order last week to play around with it and I have to say the size is perfect for my big mitts. This phone actually looked a bit smaller the first time I saw one than what it was hyped to be. For a big guy like me the DX is perfect, and I love the big "plasma"-screen (especially coming from a Palm 755p!).

...just one more day...

My DX with body glove case is thinner than my old Storm was without a case. My DX fits in my pocket better than any phone has in awhile. Before I got a case for it I keep thinking I forgot my phone.

I like how apple fan boys can only complain about the X being "to big" when you know when they get the ipad they are going to try to carry it around like a iphone.

I be digg'n this phone too - held it up to a Dinc the other day, boy what a difference in size. It seems completely normal now though, even though its the(?) biggest out there right now. I've only stretched my thumb and forefinger once trying to nav, that was in the first week - alls good in X land.

I too have a couple 3gs users around me day to day, (don't we all) - I've disliked the phone since I compared it to my S1. Now, even with the 4g out I still don't even blink an eye.

I'm happy

Yeah i have a friend who likes aple and he says my phone is too big, but i tell.him i read a lot on this phone so it works for me. And he says he phone is unintuitive, which he fails to know i i customized my phone for me and i like my widgets on screen.
