When will Android 3.0 get released?

It seems that Gingerbread may be ready this year but will the hardware be ready. Seems lots of testing to make sure enough precessor speed chipset etc for each rev of Android. I may be in the minorty but I just do not think devices or upgrades to a 3.0 this year.

LOL, like this. I think the problem are the bugs and since Win7 phone came in the stock version is a lot better than Android stock version or lets say Droid with 1.6 Android (most adopted version). If there is a screen resolution difference, that would be great, not sure if it translates into real life experience though.
 
Hopefully my Evo will be a little futureproof. I'm just hoping for it to last until holidays 2011 so I can pikc up whatever slate phone is HTC's latest and greatest.
 
Hey guys rumours have it that Google will be releasing the SDK for Gingerbread be it 2.3 or 3.0 on the 11th of this month. Unfortunately its not confirmed yet but i have heard this from two different sources.

Hope the new update comes soon. emails don't come consistently without turning Samsung Fascinate off and back on again. Got several friends with same issue. All just got the phone in the past two weeks. Really frustrating in an otherwise great experience. Anyone else having this issue?
