I've received one update for 4.2.2. A close friend within AT&T hinted without violating his NDA that 4.3 is not far off. In past years his info has been quite reliable.
My 2013 Nexus 7.2 came with 4.3, the differences are rather minor from a users standpoint in my experience. Had I not studied the two versions, frankly I wouldn't have noticed anything.
Take this for what it's worth, but most of the "info" sites are saying October for most carriers. I am with Verizon, so I expect to receive it sometime around October 2015. Unless they find some sort of bug or issue, then it will be later than that.
I'm probably not going to install the update, because it will then force me to use the new version of Google Maps, which will then force me to buy a decent GPS software product.

I probably should start a new thread, but I can only assume you don't like to be able to see your route as well, to check alternative routes, to know if there is traffic on your route when zoomed in, crashes (the only app I've ever had crash on the S4) and the loss of other features. About the only thing better about the new app is that you can see traffic on surrounding routes better.
I've been following this thread (381 posts by 221 authors) for about three weeks or so, and only one person has had anything positive to say about the new version.
I've been trying out Waze for the last week. I find that I like it a lot. I run it alongside my Garmin 1690 GPS (latest map updates) and find that Waze can sometimes route better than my Garmin.
I'm still getting used to Waze, but so far, I like it. It seems to know road changes quicker than the latest mapset from Garmin... by a wide margin. Garmin is often months behind in road changes... just the nature of the beast.

Ive heard /read that depending on timing, some companies may skip the 4.3 update altogether for 4.4 bc that is being released. I think i read this on drippler.
Anyone else hear of this?
Also have read that the changes in 4.3 arent really that noticeable and in some cases worse for the ware.
@ Petrah, what do you think of the update so far?
You can get that JB 4.3 will have a locked bootloader and we'll have to wait weeks if not months for the hackers at XDA to unlock it. Basically, if you are a rooter, don't get your hopes up until 2014 for an unlocked 4.3 Just my gut feeling given how long it's taking the XDA folks to unlock the bootloader for VZW's ME7 firmware.
Yep, we should get it this month mainly due to the need for GS4 to be fully compatible with the Galaxy Gear Watch like the Note 3, so I'm pretty sure Samsung are working around the clock to get the update out as I'm sure they want to sell as many Galaxy Gears as possible.
