When will the new root for 2.3 be release?

Does anyone know when will the root for 2.3.3 be released

Don't know, but this update has been out for a while now and it's ridiculous on how long it has been taking for a root to release. It seems like since they announced there will be unlocking the bootloaders later this month that trying to root it would be pointless.

Which is stupid imo.

Bitching and complaining about not having root yet isn't doing any good. If you remember, it took right around a month for the Froyo root to be found..and we already had visionary in place.

The recent update included a brand new bootloader that has never been unlocked... which means the devs had to start from scratch. Look at the Sensation, it's been out for over a month and they just now have s-off in sight. Once the 3D and Sensation (They are much more popular devices so they get a lot more dev support) are unlocked look for someone like Toast to have a root method for the Shift.

You have to remember, the devs are not getting payed to find root for your phone, they have jobs and lives outside of hacking.. It's something they do in their spare time to help out the community.
