When you turn phone on

Does anyone know how to turn off the sound when you turn the phone on? It is loud and annoying. Thanks.

Long press the end button. On the pop up screen touch the second choice, "Silent mode". It will turn off all your sounds. You could also use the volume buttons on the side.

this wont work if the phone is off. which it is before you turn it on...

im not sure if there is a way though. maybe you would have to lower the volume before turning it off

easiest thing is to stick your finger over the little hole on the back of the eris where the sound comes out of.

Yes, the only way to turn it off is to have your media volume down before you turn it off.

Or the finger over the speaker. Easy as pie.
