With GSM sim-card I got "OTASimStateManager: SIM Check Fail!!" in log. Phone always "Searching for service".
With VZW card SIM check passed and phone in roaming with local CDMA telecom.

I am on AOKP4.1, I also got "Searching for Service" with Vodafone SIM (local GSM) and with VZW SIM phone is in Roaming. I will be here for next 2 weeks, and will test the phone for the devs if they can direct me.

I do understand that converting Spectrum in a Global phone is not a priority, but if it is possible, it will greatly help someone like me.

I'll be going out of the country in a week (only came back for christmas) and will stay in the Caribbean for several months. I'll be happy to test out any builds available to determine whether GSM is working or not. Normally I use an iPad with a GSM SIM, but it'd be quite a bit more convenient if I could use my phone instead.
