Where are camera/gallery pics when galaxy nexus is connected to pc?

I need to replace my unrooted gnex, and am trying to back up as much as possible. I have roughly a thousand pics, but when connected to my computer, the folder called "pictures" only shows a few of the gallery folders, and the gallery folder called "camera" isn't even there. Where is it?

(also, if anyone knows if copy/pasting everything from "internal storage" into a folder, then putting it into the new phone, would work or not, or be a bad idea.)

Your camera pics should be in a folder called dcim.

Thanks alot! A went ahead and copy/pasted the whole folder. Hopefully that's the thing to do.

Make sure your hone is connected as a camera then look in dcim.
