Where are drivers located within a ROM?

About a week ago, I found that you could port an Optimus V ROM to the Optimus M just by replacing files in the zip of the OV ROM.

I got wifi working as well as the accelerometer by replacing files...
I just need to know where the files are for the radio (the thing that connects to MetroPCS)

Any help of where they could be would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, only in System/lib under the libril files there.
