Root Where Can I Find A How To Guide?

Has one been created yet? My cousin just received his very first Droid X2 and while I have told him what I know about rooting, i'm curious if anyone has made or is in the processing of making a "How To Root, Freeze, Rom your phones" and "Tips on Freezing, Removing/ChangingEnding, and Speeding Up your phone..." I see most, if not all, the information in different threads and different website but I have yet to discover a nice Start to Finish How To. Also does anyone know of a good website that explains what Android is all about?
