Help Where can I get LG E400 stock android ROM?

slackhead

Newbie
Last year my E400 running stock ROM froze when I tried to use the built in update feature. I left it for a while but nothing responded. I eventually powered off and on but it wouldn't boot into android.

I should probably have sent it back for a replacement, but instead I found that I could get into the recovery menu so I grabbed a copy of CM and installed that. It works fine except for one thing - I need to do a network unlock to use a different provider. I have the network unlock code from O2, but when I enter the code to bring up the menu (2945#*400#) it brings up an invalid MMI number. I've tried many fixes posted about the net like adding + to the number or putting a , at the end but nothing works. I've read that I need to revert to the stock ROM to get this to work. I don't have a backup unfortunately.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this, or where I can download stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 from?

Thanks

Do you have the ee bands . Is this a gsm or cdma
What i am saying is i don't think your gingerbread would hold up

Who was your other service provider and what are u about to unlock to i don't see a unlock for 3mobile .

I get access denied when I try to download anything from that site:

Code:
[B]Access Denied[/B]

You don't have permission to access "http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/swdata/WDLSW/LGE400/AGBRBK/V10f_00/V10F_00.kdz" on this server. Reference #18.3e75f8d5.1383405563.103c0421
Yeah I rooted it myself. I did find a firmware for e400f but it's a kdz file and not sure how to do that within the phone or in linux. Seems I need my windows VM for it

It's rooted fine.

It won't even update. It can't extract the kdz. I'm not really sure what settings I should use. I'm downloading LG Suite to see if that works better. Be another 15 mins...

If that .kdz file is bigger than 1gb, kdz updater will not work. Simply as that. After searching around,i found there is a way to bypass officialLGmobile support tool checks. It's a litle more complicated,as you need to install small server and you have to edit hosts file in windows, but it will do the trick. You need to do this in order to make the app thinking it's downloading the rom from lg server.

O ok you good try it again you have all the phone drivers installed if so make sure nothing is running or downloading . And try the kdz again
