Root where can I get the z4root.1.3.0.apk that is clean

I went to MediaFire and downloaded it to my ascend and my antivirus said it was infected. So where can I get a clean version. :confused:
 
Your antivirus will always say it is infected because of its nature (it is in fact a virus of sorts but like cowpox it is a virus that has been twisted to benifit us as cowpox is the smallpox vaccine) and some agressive means it uses.

If you are worried about your source use my guide I swear on my life it is 100% clean.

Btw you can download it directly to your phone. You don't need the PC to get it.
 
I have a clean copy uploaded on my server as well if needed.

A antivirus on these phones isnt really necessary as its based on linux, but it doesnt hurt to have one either I ran AVG's on the stock 2.1 when I was on it.

I'll beat the dead horse here: z4root will show up as a virus because it is a rootkit. It's supposed to alter settings to give you full admin access, therefore most AV programs will detect it as a rootkit, although Lookout does not do so.

Yea I got several apk files backed up on my laptop lol.

I'll admit I use 'pirated copy's of some apps if I just need to use em once. But if I continue to use em I pay for em. Just bought two this week :)

I think all apps need a trial version just ppl can see if they will actually use it.

I also make donations to free app dev's if I continually use their apps like CWM. If we dont support the dev's that are kind enough to put their time n effort into apps they'll either stop doing it or charge more for em.

I just rooted my phone yesterday using the file from Tokenpoke's guide and it's clean. However, I had a minor issue when i downloaded it from my phone. It gave me a "parsing error" message. So I had to download it from my computer and put it on my phone and it worked perfectly. :)

If I want to donate to the people who made CWM how do i do that? Do I donate to the developers of ROM Manager?
