where did everyone go?

has everyone forgotten about eachother and/or this phone!? come on now! :D

I know what you mean. Most device forum regulars get a strong "community meeting place" feeling about their device area. Then, when folks move on, or start hanging out elsewhere, it doesn't seem right.

I hear you on this, this forum is really dead compared to the bionic forum, almost makes me want to get one for the more active community/dev support

I still visit the site every day, as well as other forums, but it does seem that traffic to all Droid 3 forums has declined significantly since the OTA.

Droid 3 works too good after the update so no drama to post. Everybody loves drama! ;)

Plenty of that in the Bionic forum.

I'm checking forums pretty often, just not much development until the bootloader gets unlocked.

And almost no issues lately... :-)

tru , me im just freezing stuff for now till more roms are available , but like they said its working pretty good after the ota , no problems here slight freezes ddat bout it

I check these forums multiple times daily, everyone is just so awesome and good at helping each other that I don't see the need to post.

I, too, keep this forum and XDA open at all times in my browser and check occasionally, but since the OTA, I feel there are VERY few issues so things are slow for now.

I'm still here and check the D3 sub-forum a few times a week.

Since this is kind of a chatty/OT thread, has anyone got any cool apps they found recently that they'd recommend? I've been playing "Drag Racing Premium" a little bit more than I should admit. :o It was a free Amazon app download about a month ago or so.

I have to agree. I have absolutely no issues on the phone. I have the apps I need (at least today!). Mine is lasting well over 24 hours with the extended battery and pretty heavy usage, so I'm really happy. I still check in...but I don't have any issues.

Seems as if no one has a gripe or complant they have nothing to say. It was the kinda the same way with the HTC eris thread, but atleast over there they had a good share of tips and how to's being exchanged in there. For whatever reason it doesn't appear to be the case with the D3

Lets complain about the camcorder focus issues!

:P

....seriously though, it is aggravating, lol.

Add to that the delays in taking pictures. Since the update I can never tell when this thing is actually going to "take" the picture. 3rd party camera apps are instantaneous snaps. Moto's is anything but!

Moto really needs to look at hiring a new guy in the camera software department. Maybe the camera guy in the banned iPhone commercials!!! At least the app would have a sense of humor :) Speaking of, they just released a new one for the iPhone 4s in case you haven't seen it:

for taking pictures i've switched to camera360. heres how to set it up for fast shooting

click on the camera360 app to open it once you have it installed. Uncheck ''auto show'' on the bottom left corner of the screen. Then Click ''Normal'' then uncheck the another ''auto show'' (so it doesnt display what kind of crappy effect you want to use each time). and then Kaboom, camera action. So all you ever have to do is open camera360 and youre ready to take a picture in half the time it takes the stock camera to open. OH! i also forgot, camera360 has autofocus settings and other cool features. Its also focuses and snaps the picture and then saves it lightning fast. try it out, trust me, you'll love your camera again.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out. Is there a picture quality difference between Camera360 and the stock camera? If so, can you post the same picture taken both ways so that we can see the difference? Thanks again. :)

i took some test pictures but they were all in my washroom and didnt do it justice. lol. fyi, the pictures on the stock camera were about 1mb to 1.5mb in size. the camera360 pics were about 3mb to 3.4mb in size. which means that the stock camera is compressing the images slightly. ALSO stock images have 74dpi where as the uncompressed camera360 pictures have 96dpi.

Personally I thought the 360 images were much better. plus it focuses/snaps the pic/saves about 3x as fast as stock camera.

Ive been using vignette but I still feel like its a hassle just to find certain settings and to use and such... Is camera360 faster?

also im rooted and froze a bunch of apps but I still don't get why people say they can use it heavily and get over 24 hours on it.. I have the extended battery but like when I unplug it to go to work, which is a 15 minute drive, it usually drops to 90%.. then by my lunch break, if I keep the data/3g connection on, it will probably be like 70 or 60 even. When i get home its down to 50 or 40%..
I always turn on airplane mode when I'm busy at work, and sometimes it's been getting stuck on unless i reboot, which is the exact same problem I had on my DROIDXs'..
