Root where did my root go???

So a few months back I rooted my phone and everything was working ok. I could never get new roms install correctly for some reason so eventually I stopped caring. A few weeks ago I was messing around with the phone again to see if I can get anything new and now I dont have root access anymore it seems. What could have happened? why would it just disappear? How can I get it back with out going through this whole process all over again.

Is superuser still on your phone?

everything is still there, clockworkmod, oneclicklagfix, superuser etc...

What about busybox?

If you have SU it should still be rooted. Try running an app for root users and see if it gives you permission.
