Help Where do downloaded apps go?

where do apps u download save to. using a file manager i can see 2 of my apps are on my sd card, but i cant find any more of em, even on the 8gb on board storage. where do they save to?

Do you mean downloaded apps form the market?

They get installed the file you download form the market is the app not an installer so you dont have an extra file.

PS the folder for apps is /data but you might not have access without root.

yes i dloaded a bunch of games and some other utilites. i see 2 of the utilities on my sdcard but i cant find the game apps. i checked the /data folder in astro manager but that is the sdcard. when i look into /emmc which should be the 8gb onboard storage i cant find em either.

Yeah you won't see them.

They should be in your applications list.

yeah they show up in the application list. just weird when i bring up /system /application in astro all i see are the apps that came with the phone not the ones i dloaded. only 2 of them i found on /sdcard, the others are a mystery where they are saved.
