where do you get your app/paid apps from?

Ok, I get that some of us are cash poor and others just find it cute or funny to put one over on the "establishment" by stealing.
While others just wish to try before they buy (include me in that category) but eventually you gotta put yourselves in the shoes of those developers.
While a few probably do it in the hopes that they'll become rich, I'm guessing that a lot of app devs are excited about how useful their app will be, and if they make a few bucks along the way, that's just icing on the cake.

Some of us couldn't even design the icons associated with these apps, or it would take us hours upon hours to do so.
Imagine the amount of time, heart and soul put into developing an android application only to have 50% or more of the installs attributed to warez sites.

Whether you like it or not, app developers deserve the money they ask for. If you don't like the price then you simply should do without or find a free alternative; other than a warez site.

I agree with you whole heartedly. Half of the apps people are scheming for only cost a Buck or two in the first place. I have paid for many apps because I believe in supporting the developer's that have put work into them. We are very fortunate to have so many talented people working hard on an open source platform to give us very cost effective and useful applications. I donate to the Linux distro of my choice as well even though it is offered 100% free of charge. Support your devs and long live open source!

haha! lol well I guess I should be doing serious time

Depending on where you live, it could happen, so I wouldn't laugh it up too hard.

In the US, there's a movement afoot in to have passed into law mandatory jail time for those running those sites - and one case this year has one of the site operators who thought he'd get away with it now making little rocks out of big rocks in a federal penitentiary.

And then there's the Pirate Bay - you know - the guys that could never be stopped? The ones begging for donations to cover legal fees now?

And each and every day, a guy who thinks this is funny joins the ranks of writing after he's had his first lawyer visit: Why me? Everyone else is doing it!

Advocating piracy is against our site rules - the ones you agreed to when you signed up here. It's illegal, immoral, and has a tendency to depress the family dog, so it's probably cruelty to animals.

Continuing it results in loss of posting privileges here - so please do no more of this.
