Root Where does one get gapps?

it should have the gapps file on the op for the rom. what rom do you have?

gapps is google's proprietary applications. they are gmail, play store, google talk and so forth.

with aosp roms since they are stripped free of htc's sense or any other manufacturer's skins, google did not want the cm team to distribute their apps freely. in the early days they actually sent a cease and desist letter to the team. they eventually came to terms in that you will have to flash the gapps file separately from the rom.
