Help Where has my OTA software update gone??

Hello I recently debrandes my Orange HTC Desire as explained here:
http://androidforums.com/htc-desire/148932-froyo-ruu-update-available.html

This all went fine.

After, there was an over the air software update available but I just ignored it for now an unticked the box to check as I would do it later.

I decided to go ahead now (a few weeks later) but when I do the check for updates it says I have the latest software?

I know this is incorrect as it offered it me before and a friend updated his the same and has I highher version.

I have:

baseband version: 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20
kernel version: 2.6.32.15-gf9c0527
build number: 2.09.405.8 CL218634
software number: 2.09.405.8
browser version 3.1

My friend who did the same debranding as me (but also accepted the update straight away) has:

Software Number is 2.10.405.2
Android 2.2
Baseband 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2
Kernel 2.6.32.15-g6a358a9 (Htc-kernal@and18-2 #1)
Build 2.10.405.2 CL226611 release-keys
Browser WebKit 3.1

How do I get my phone to find the 2.10.402.2 update again?

Confused; can anyone help??

PS: I also did this:
Go to the homescreen.
Tap on Dialer - to open the dialer screen.
From the dialer type *#*#checkin#*#* (that is *#*#2432546#*#*)
If the ‘checkin' is successful, the device will display "checkin result success"

thanks

D
