Where is my OTA

Got mine last night at 1045pm. Had to do a Factory Reset though due to freezing and unresponsive screens, so I thought "what the heck" and wiped 2X just to be safe.

So far all is well... :)

Got my OTA (FRG01B) just after noon today (in Illinois), if you still care to know.

I must say, after having played around with Froyo for a while now, I sure wish I had just forced the update in the first place. I decided to wait becuase about an hour after JohnGalt found the update on google's servers, everyone was complaining about problems with it.

I, for one, have not noticed any of these problems. My phone rebooted in about five minutes and I have had nothing but speed improvements since.

And flash is wonderful! It sure makes browsing the web a better experience.

My wife got her's 11:00am here in RI.Now ill put flash on it for her:DI forced mine 2 weeks ago i couldnt wait, she wanted the pushed version.Whatever

Just a quick note to people who get the update... don't freak out if you phone seems slow directly after updating. I think there is a lot of stuff going on in the background after you get the update. I noticed my phone was a bit slow almost the whole day after the update. On the second day after a couple reboots, the phone was running very smooth and faster than before.

One other note... doing a factory reset with 2.2 is a real pleasure! This is new to 2.2 because I did this once with 2.1 and it wasn't like this. 2.2 keeps track of which apps you have installed and it will actually re-install and update all of the apps you had before the factory reset (after you login with your Google account). When you couple this together with some simple backups (apps like AK Notepad, My Task, Mileage, LauncherPro etc have internal options to backup data to your SD card) it was back up and running in a very short amount of time. All I had to do was log into a couple of applications and restore my backups and it was like I never did a reset (except everything was running smoother, faster and I 'reclaimed' at least 50mb of missing space on my internal phone memory).

Man.. I love Android. It keeps getting better.

At approx 1800 EDT in Tidewater area of Virginia, frg01b downloaded to my Droid. Total time to install, including the two reboots was about 5 minutes.

I was going to grab the download pointed to in another thread tomorrow but now I don't have to:)

got mine, installed and all working fine a few changes with exchange which is good but took a bit of searching, e.g calendar is now in one app, all combined.

Also, I got my update as soon as I switched to WIFI - coincidence..maybe

Everything running fine, maybe a bit faster, battery drain - maybe or may just be I didn;t put the phone down for the past 2 hours :-)

And yes it is FRG10B, so now the wait for FRG22
