Help Where is my SMS backup folder?

So the one x died but before it did, I was able to back up my sms messages to the sms backup folder which I accessed on the one x and transferred to my pc. Great.

Problem is, where the hell do I paste that file to on my new htc desire 620? There is no backup sms fiolder anywhere but there MUST be a place I paste it to surely? There is no backup folder in the new phone and it doesnt even find the file when I search for it. So where the hell is the sms backup folder?

One x is COMPLETELY destroyed so that cannot come in to the equation I'm afraid. I just need to know where to paste the sms backup file to, because that way I can get some of my more recent contacts that I have lost back again. See, my contact backup didn't work either. None of my numbers are on my google account.

Try backing up an sms on the new phone (if it has the function) and that should create the folder

I've just checked, and the stock message app on my HTC has the function, so that's worth a go.

(I use third party backup and message apps, so have never used this, but the option is there).

thanks this worked for creating the folder, but it fails to restore messages. Any advice?

Weird it won't restore after putting the back ups in the folder. They don't save as a different file extension or anything do they?

Was it the same backup app?
