Help Where is Swype or similar?

Hi guys,

I just got a Moto G and its running Android 4.4.2 but I can't find Swype or a similar input method.

I've looked online but I can't follow any of the guides for changing input methods as my phone doesn't have the same options/menus.

Do I need to install an app?

Any advice?

Thanks!

No, its not working.

Also if I press down in the enter text area I don't get any options as it sounds like a I should according to some of the guides I've read.

I've tried it in a range of apps including email and messaging.

Thanks.

Go into settings then language and input. If you only have one keyboard then you won't get that option when you long press in a text field.

Have you updated to the latest on all your apps?

Swyping on the AOSP keyboard has been around for nearly a year, don't imagine updating would help.

To the OP, you can also give SwiftKey a shot. It's the only keyboard I use and it features swyping as well.

As far as I can tell all apps are up to date.

I'm trying Swiftkey now and its good but I hate the way that if you click near the edge of the screen is zooms right in - is there a way to turn that off?

Thanks.

If I click near the backspace/delete button near the edge it zooms right in like the attached images with seemingly no way to zoom back out.

A way to turn that 'feature' off would be great but a way to zoom back out and show the keyboard would be ok too.

Thanks.

Thanks, that's it - nothing to do with SwiftKey!

I do quite like being able to zoom in on other apps so might leave this on for now.

Thanks though!
